River Thames Garnet rings
These silver rings are all ready to ship, the ones you see in the photos are the ones available. The garnets are a beautiful plum red colour that remind me of pomegranate seeds in the sun. Each piece is made from water casting, pouring molten sterling silver into water to create unique forms. I thought this paired well with the found River Thames garnets. I’ve soldered claws onto the water cast pieces and set the garnets within them. These raw garnets have been mudlarked from the River Thames foreshore by a licensed mudlark and many of them show the natural cubic form that garnet crystals grow. The sterling silver bands are each different please see the descriptions below, stamped 925 and with my makers mark on the outside of the bands.
Ring 1- 7.3g adjustable size R-T, 6mm wide open band with 8mm garnet.
Ring 2- 7.2g adjustable size O-Q, 6mm wide open band with 7mm garnet.
Ring 3- 4.3g size M solid band 2mm wide with 5mm garnet.
Ring 4- 4.9g adjustable size P-R, 5mm wide open band with 5mm garnet.
Ring 5- 4.8g adjustable size P-R, 5mm wide open band with 6mm garnet.
Ring 6- 4.6g size O solid band 2mm wide with 7mm garnet.
River Thames garnets. No one knows exactly where the garnets come from, they’re not native to the river Thames but mudlarkers keep finding them at low tide. I love all the possible theories from gem thief’s to import spillage but the mystery is what makes them so special.
